Constraints are an interesting thing. I know so many people who look at constraints the same way some would view handcuffs…with shackles…tape over your mouth…a cell…you get the idea.
Basically, constraints are only good at holding back the creative spirit in whatever endeavor we’re performing.
Over the years, four of which was as a fine arts major in college, I have found my view of constraints shifting almost to the point of constraints being the birthplace of creativity and innovation. Constraints also help ensure whatever solution is created is simpler than it would have been had they not been there.
